Private School Academy for K-12th Grade Students in Fuquay Varina, NC

At Learning Time Inc., we understand the importance of a child's education beyond preschool. In order to expand our services to more children, we established the Achievement Academy in 2009 to provide kindergarten, and more recently, elementary school, middle school, and high school classes. Our academy is a licensed private school that provides comprehensive educational services and that adheres to the conventional 9-month school calendar that begins in August.

Low Student to Teacher Ratio at Achievement Academy in Fuquay Varina NC

Our students are given thorough academic assessments by licensed educational professionals. With our low ratio of educators to students, one educator for every 12 -15 students, we are also able to give each of our students the one-on-one attention that they deserve. Our faculty and staff are not only committed to helping students learn their academic lessons; they also place a focus on ensuring that the students are able to develop other critical skills, including independent thinking, decision-making and personal responsibility.

Achievement Academy's curriculum is driven by teaching the whole child, academically, socially, and personally. At each grade level, students will be taught according to the NC State Standard Curriculum. Methodology includes integrated thematic and project-based “learning units” based on students' interests and designed to promote hands-on, experiential learning. Integrated into the curriculum will be character education, values clarification, self-evaluation, student-directed learning, and a host of other relevant strategies designed to foster the student's involvement in the learning process. The instructional program allows for students in grades above kindergarten to participate in a “Choice Timeelective such as music, art, gardening, cooking, drama, writing and publishing, cultural awareness, and yoga, to name a few. Achievement Academy welcomes parents to participate in Choice Time activities by leading student groups in areas of expertise and interest.
